Although the "Gift Economy" and other various forms of altruistic ignoring the money (like Couchsurfing, Hospitality Club, Helpx or Free Shops) are ideologically very close to our point of view, unfortunately such a long journey "around the world," as the one we plan, without a specific (even the smallest) amount of funds seems to be extremely difficult. I deliberately do not write here that it is impossible (just because we simply do not believe that something can be simply impossible ;-) but for sure it would be extremely complicated - especially if we have to "close" it in a specific and relatively very short time of about 105 days .
History shows us that along with great expeditions, there can always be found skeptics ready to force their validity and black scenary. However, the same history points out other people supporting such challenges, which are often the driving force and the actual "power motion" of many projects. For example without Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand, from whom Cristopher Columbus received founds, his journey across the Atlantic Ocean would probably never happened and America would had to wait much more time to get finally discovered. Without financial support from the father and uncle, Marco Polo could not make a move to "conquer" the Silk Road and China, as well as Ferdinand Magellan, who could not had a chance to circumnavigate the world as a first human in the history, without the support from King Charles and a few other influential people.
Unfortunately our expedition, there will neither be as spectacular nor as innovative as any from listed above, but we are sure it has many features to place it among the most exceptional.
